You are rest assured that each and every dollar of your donation is made available for the social service programmes run by the charities. This is made possible because our fund-raising costs are covered mainly by Tote Board and Singapore Pools (Private) Limited.
Fund-raising costs kept to a minimum
We believe that all your donations should be used for real needs. We keep our fund-raising costs between 9% to 12%, far lower than the 30% limit for fund-raising costs set by Commissioner of Charities for Institutions of Public Character (IPCs).
Guidelines and standards in place ensure accountability
We ensure that the use of your donations is transparent, effective and efficient. That's why we establish various levels of guidelines and standards for the charities to adhere, including Service Standards Requirements and Programme Evaluation System.

Financial Year 2010
For Financial Year 2010, we have disbursed $54.9 million to support 74 charities in running 162 social service programmes. These programmes have served about 320,000* people in our community.
