• Callers under age 18 should seek parental consent.

• For 1900 donation numbers, the call charges of $0.20 per call would be borne by Community Chest. Each donation would still be subject to 7% GST.

• Tax exemption is available for the $5/$15/$35 telepoll donation. All $10 donation made via the POSB Everyday Card will receive tax exemption automatically.

 

I made a donation using the telepoll number. How do I request for tax exemption?

• We seek the public’s understanding in providing Community Chest with the necessary information to make tax exemption possible.  As the telco companies/POSB have to protect the confidentiality of their customers, the required details cannot be released for automatic tax exemption.

• Tax exemption can only be given to the registered name of the phone line subscriber.  Step are as follows:

1. Write the phone subscriber full name and IC number on the telco/credit card bill.  If these details are not included, donor would have to file their own tax exemption with IRAS using the receipt.
