Lianhe Zaobao reported that Community Chest and the Urban Redevelopment Authority collaborated to place 20 ChariTrees along the Waterfront Promenade at Marina Bay. 17 organisations had signed up to adopt the trees and a total amount of $150,000 was donated to Community Chest. The ChariTrees, which were adorned with LED decorations, would be lit up from this Saturday, 19 November 2011 to 1 January 2012.
